This new animation technique might actually make selfies interesting

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

Let's face it: Selfie filters have gotten boring.  No one cares anymore that thanks to the miracle of modern technology you can vomit rainbows or stick a dog's nose on your face. It's just, well, played out.  Whether that's in spite of or because of Facebook's recent push into the filter game is anyone's guess, but all the Zuckerberg money in the world can't make something cool.  But hey, all you filter lovers out there, there's hope yet. Say hello to the definitely sexy sounding technique kn ... View More

Rare footage of Tesla Model 3 prototypes driving in public

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

Tesla's Model 3 has been spotted in the wild.  The sedan, which Tesla is priming to reveal before production starts in July, could make the company — and fully electric cars in general — much more palatable to the mass market with a $35,000 starting price and more modest specs. Right now, cars like the premium Model S make Tesla more of a luxury brand for people living in cities filled with charging stations.  SEE ALSO: Tesla's HR chief is out after claims of labor violations, backed up by ... Reporter's reaction to Disneyland's new 'Guardians of the Galaxy' ride way better than ride itself

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

Being a reporter for the local news basically means you're the station's guinea pig — which can be both terrible and amazingly fantastic, especially for those watching along at home. Much to the dismay of hardcore fans, Disneyland recently revamped its beloved Tower of Terror ride, changing its theme to Guardians of the Galaxy. The park invited some media outlets for a first look, which means ABC 30 reporter Cory James got to test out the ride for a segment. His reaction ranged from scream ... View More

The choices we're given in games are still ultimately meaningless

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

Video games are a fun way to pass time. They're engaging and distracting. They're an opportunity to socialize, and they can even be educational. But, increasingly, games are becoming known as a wonderful way to tell and be a part of stories, too. Over the last decade, that evolution of stories in games has arguably become as critical to the experience as the gameplay itself. As gamers, we've lived through dozens of varying stories. We've explored all sorts of landscapes and made all kinds of fri ... View More

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

You know, Google the name of the place, see what's on the menu, check out some reviews, and make a call yay or nay.  SEE ALSO: Surprising developments in China, India could blunt Trump's climate rollbacks This, according to The Washington Post, is how Trump campaign staffers checked out Carter Page. The 'Stranger Things' kids rocked 'Lip Sync Battle' so hard, everyone else should probably give up

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

Forget Dungeons and Dragons, there's a new game in town for the stars of Stranger Things — Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp — who wowed the crowd with a four-way showdown on Spike's Lip Sync Battle this week, basically rendering all other Lip Sync Battle performances obsolete. (Except Tom Holland's; he can stay.) Sadly, Millie Bobby Brown was absent from the contest, but we already know all about her musical chops and lip sync prowess, so maybe the boys were ... View More

Angry pedestrian is too distracted yelling, walks right into a pole

Posted on Friday, May 26th, 2017

A little instant karma, anyone? A driver with a dashcam captured a raging pedestrian in Adelaide, South Australia. As the driver was approaching a red light, an older man walking a dog began to cross the street. The man thought the driver was approaching too fast, so he scolded the driver with a variety of angry hand gestures. "Oh, piss off," the driver can be heard muttering in a very Australian fashion. All that hand gesturing distracted the pedestrian, who ended up walking right into a po ... View More
