Adam Driver's Kylo Ren returns to 'Undercover Boss' on 'SNL'

Posted on Sunday, January 26th, 2020

The first time Adam Driver hosted Saturday Night Live, he busted out his Star Wars villain Kylo Ren for an Undercover Boss sketch. It was a hit. So of course, Driver's latest return to SNL gave us the gift of an Undercover Boss sequel. It's pretty similar to the last one, but with 100 percent more misplaced uses of "OK, boomer." (Kylo just doesn't get it, folks.) You will probably laugh.  And hey, just in case you're worried: No The Rise of Skywalker spoilers here. Read more... More about S ... View More

Adam Driver's 'SNL' monologue is here to show the world how chill he is

Posted on Sunday, January 26th, 2020

Adam Driver is, like, super chill. Nevermind the fact that he's walked out of interviews and fielded an endless barrage of questions about what some have characterized as an intense demeanor. He's actually a chill dude. Or that's what he set out to prove in his Saturday Night Live monologue. He kinda did it? Driver always seems to have fun on SNL and his monologue got things off to a great start. All those things about him being intense do seem to be true, but on SNL at least he's able to li ... Adam Driver gets really serious about his character at Medieval Times on 'SNL'

Posted on Sunday, January 26th, 2020

It's always great to see a professional actor chew scenery as if it's an audition for William Shakespeare himself. And who's a better choice to get super, over-the-top serious than Saturday Night Live guest host Adam Driver. In this sketch, Driver is a performer at New Jersey's Medieval Times restaurant, but he thinks he's William Wallace in Braveheart. He's also kind of racist? And a dick in general? But it's all right because he's taking an acting class. This sketch is great. Driver's clea ... View More

John Mulaney was totally Mr. Peanut in this 'SNL' cold open set in Hell

Posted on Sunday, January 26th, 2020

A new Saturday Night Live in 2020 can only mean one thing: A cold open sketch fixated on the exploits of Donald Trump. In lieu of Alec Baldwin's increasingly unfunny impression of the U.S. president, however, the latest cold open focused on the ongoing impeachment trial and Trump attorney Alan Dershowitz (Jon Lovitz). When an unfortunately timed heart attack sends Dershowitz to Hell (just for a visit), all sorts of modern day villains emerge from the woodwork. There's Jeffrey Epstein (Adam D ... View More

YouTubers are quitting their day jobs to influence full time. Their followers aren't always impressed.

“Today I am filming the most nerve-wracking video I’d have to film in quite a while,” said 23-year-old Natalie Barbu. As she avoided looking into the camera she continued, “I feel like I can’t even make eye contact.” Text reading "i quit my job" overlaid on her face — but anyone watching the video knows this as the video is titled, “so i quit my job.” Barbu, who in addition to having over 250,000 YouTube subscribers, hosts her own podcast called The Reel Reel and owns a self-t ... Startups Weekly: Tech layoffs spread (a bit)

Posted on Saturday, January 25th, 2020

Are January layoffs just a few post-WeWork jitters? TechCrunch has found itself writing about layoffs at a few notable tech companies this week — and not just Softbank-backed ones. The focus is very much profits, as Alex Wilhelm summed up on Thursday, especially after the failed WeWork IPO and subsequent valuation and headcount decimation. We’ll be digging into the topic more soon but there does seem to be a certain consumery thread here. And perhaps some fears of negative macro trends bubbl ... View More

Called Nearby Sharing, the feature will allow users to quickly send and receive content between devices with the tap of a "Share" button, XDA Developers reports. Reports have been surfacing for a while now, but in a hands-on video with XDA Developers' Mishaal Rahman, we get to see it in action.  The feature is demonstrated between a Google Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 4 running Android 10.
