A dog says 'Coca Cola' like a human and it's super impressive

In the latest episode of the neverending series about animals that try to act like humans, this cute little pup has a crack at speaking just like its owners.

The dog, identified in the video as Phoebe, tries its best to utter the word “Coca-Cola,” which ends up sounding something like “ruh-roh rohla.” It somehow manages to nail the name “Laura” however, which is pretty damn impressive.

The video was uploaded onto YouTube by user Matthew Hackling, and we’re keen to see what Phoebe can say next… Pepsi, perhaps?

'Finding Nemo' told with emoji is pretty freaking adorable

Disney, you’ve made us squee yet again.

The company’s interactive team has retold the classic Finding Nemo with emoji and it is downright adorable.

In an impressive move, Disney has used smartphone features to tell the movie’s story. The brightness bar and those irritating three dots when someone is about to write a message have cameo roles, as Nemo and Dory make their way to Sydney, Australia.

This creative take on Finding Nemo follows Disney’s other “told by emoji” videos, which include Star Wars, Aladdin and Frozen. More please.

Jay Z drops by Pusha T's 'Drug Dealers Anonymous' with a 'Daaaamn Daniel'

Jay Z is handing out guest verses like they’re tall, heavily spiked glasses of lemonade.

Just a week after the release of  Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All the Way Up” remix, Jay showed up for a guest spot on Pusha T’s “Drug Dealers Anonymous,” the lead single off King Push. The song is streaming exclusively on the Jay Z-owned Tidal, of course.

The aptly titled track features a soundbite from conservative pundit Tomi Lahren’s comments berating Beyonce in which she said, among other things, “Your husband was a drug dealer. For 14 years, he sold crack cocaine.” (Beyonce reportedly wanted to feature the clip during her Formation World Tour, too.) Read more…

Heavy flooding prompts insane images out of soggy Texas

As parts of Texas were inundated with another round of heavy storms and flooding over Memorial Day weekend, videos captured the extent of the deluge and the damage.

The latest storms add to an already soggy spring. Many locations have now shattered previous March-through-May precipitation records. Among them, according to the Weather Channel are: San Angelo (14.62 inches), Austin (25.44 inches) and College Station-Bryan (22.63 inches).

Large swaths of suburban communities southwest of Houston were underwater and hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes before the Brazos River crested at nearly 54 feet in Fort Bend County, just two years after it had run dry in some areas because of drought. Read more…

Yes, Beyoncé’s mom also listens to Beyoncé when she has a tough day

Beyoncé‘s mom is just like us. You know, in the sense that she also listens to Beyoncé music and sings in the car.

On Sunday, Ms. Tina Lawson — aka Beyoncé’s mom — posted a super-relatable video on Instagram of herself singing along to her daughter’s song, “Freedom.”

Queen T grooved to the beat of Beyoncé’s Lemonade hit like a true Beyhive member, dubbing the track her “fight song.”

She captioned her video, “Had a tough day yesterday! Obstacles everywhere, When I think about quitting the fight. I sing this song loud! This has become my fight song. Keep pushing! Don’t give up! Cause a winner never quits on them selves.” Read more…

7 of the internet’s best animated 404 pages

Gone are the days where a humorous picture or phrase will get your site’s 404 page noticed. In a version of the internet where GIFs are the new text and videos are the new photos, it’s going to take a lot more than a witty phrase to stand out amongst the crowd.
But, we were surprised to see that most sites still aren’t taking advantage of that valuable real estate. Read More

Facebook spares humans by fighting offensive photos with AI

Facebook’s artificial intelligence systems now report more offensive photos than humans do, marking a major milestone in the social network’s battle against abuse, the company tells me. AI could quarantine obscene content before it ever hurts the psyches of real people. Facebook’s success in ads has fueled investments into the science of AI and machine vision that could give… Read More
